The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Pradeep Singh Kharola, an IAS officer of 1985 batch from Karnataka as Chairman and Managing Director, Air India, in the rank and pay of Secretary to Government of India. Kharola will replace Rajiv Bansal to become the third chairman of the airline this year. Bansal was given an extension to continue for another three months just last week.
