ATOAI set to host national seminar on Risk Management in New Delhi

Adventure tourism has emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments of the global travel industry, valued at approximately USD 683 billion in 2024.

The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) is organising a seminar titled ‘Indian Adventure Tourism: Risk Management’ at The Park Hotel, New Delhi, on May 18, 2026.

President, ATOAI, said, “India’s immense adventure tourism potential must be anchored in robust risk management and uncompromising safety standards. This seminar is a significant step towards building a unified, future-ready framework that inspires confidence among all stakeholders.”

The seminar will bring together key policymakers, state representatives, industry leaders, and international experts to deliberate on actionable outcomes through focused discussions on Global and Indian best practices in risk mitigation; Comprehensive safety frameworks across land-, water-, and air-based activities; Insurance, legal liability, and compliance mechanisms; Strengthening regulatory frameworks; and The role of media in shaping perception, enhancing consumer awareness, and ensuring accountability.

The seminar is said to culminate in the formulation of a National Roadmap for Adventure Tourism Risk Management, aligned with global benchmarks and tailored to India’s diverse geographical landscape.

Safety in adventure tourism remains the cornerstone of credibility, investor confidence, and India’s positioning on the global adventure tourism map. ATOAI’s collective vision is to position India among the top ten global adventure tourism destinations by 2034.
