BIAL HOSTS INAUGURAL EDITION OF PINNACLE AWARD

Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru celebrated six years of operation with the inaugural edition of the BIAL Pinnacle Awards held at the J W Mariott in Bengaluru. The awards were held in the presence of Sanjay Reddy, MD, BIAL, senior management from BIAL and various stakeholders. Aimed at acknowledging and awarding star performances amongst the various airport stakeholders in several capacities, the idea of the award is to perpetuate a culture of competition and excellence amongst all stakeholders at the airport, which eventually would have a telling impact on the performance of the airport as a whole.

The BIAL Pinnacle Awards is constituted to applaud stakeholder contribution that help Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru reach an elevated position amongst airports not only in India but in the world. The awards have various categories that are significant to be recognised in the airport ecosystem.
The awards process to adjudge the winners is fair, transparent and unbiased and was based on the various services offering at the airport sector and included awards across the sectors of Airlines, Commercial, Cargo and Aviation Services, Vision Based and Honorary awards. IndiGo was honoured as Domestic Airline of the year while Emirates was honoured as the International Airline of the year. Furthermore, the Flyer’s favourite airline honour was awarded to Spice Jet, among other players felicitated.
