Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts has appointed AVIAREPS India to spearhead its PR and brand positioning efforts in India. Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts aims to refine its communications approach and solidify its leadership position among Indian travellers through AVIAREPS’s network and media relationships.
Commenting on the appointment, Radhey Tawar, Chief Commercial Officer, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, stated, “Sri Lanka’s tourism sector is experiencing a strong revival, driven by targeted promotions, enhanced airline connectivity, and strategic visa policies. Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts boasts of a portfolio of 17 properties, including Sri Lanka’s first integrated resort, Cinnamon Life. Opened last year, Cinnamon Life is said to be Sri Lanka’s largest private investment, at USD 1.3 billion, featuring 687 rooms, 12 F&B spaces including specialty restaurants, and a 16,000 sqm MICE venue. In partnership with Melco, it also houses South Asia’s largest gaming space (17,500 sqm) and an upcoming mall set to open in Q3 this year.
With Sri Lanka’s tourism revenue projected to reach USD 3.17 billion in 2025, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is said to actively expanding its presence beyond Colombo. The group recently launched a new property - Kandy Myst by Cinnamon and has ambitious plans to strengthen its footprint in key international markets, including the Maldives, the UK, the Middle East, and China.
