EMIRATES HONOURS KEY INDIAN TRAVEL ASSOCIATES

Emirates recently hosted more than 20 key Indian travel partners to honour them for their contribution to the airline’s success in 2014.  The partners included Cox & Kings, Thomas Cook, ClearTrip, WIPRO Travel Services, UAE Exchange India and many more.

The event was hosted by Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ Divisional Vice President. Commercial Operations- Centre, Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Vice President, India & Nepal and Ahmed Khoory, Senior Vice President, Commercial, West Asia & Indian Ocean (WA&IO).

Delivering the welcome address at the gala dinner Ahmed Khoory said:  “India has been an extremely significant market for Emirates, since its inception in 1985. We have established strong roots in the Indian aviation industry and only hope to strengthen it further. India is one of the markets that exemplify our growth story,” he said. “We are extremely grateful to all our loyal travel agents who have been an integral part of our journey. We look forward to their continued support in the years ahead.”

Today, Emirates connects India to a global network spanning six continents and 82 countries by operating 185 flights per week from10 gateways in India. This offers passengers to travel across Emirates’ vast global network, which includes cities in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Middle East.

Last year the airline launched the iconic A380 product to Mumbai, and up-gauged many of the routes to Boeing 777 operations. Also, by the end of March passengers from Kolkata will be able to experience Emirates’ First Class product for the first time and also enjoy an additional weekly service to the city.
