FAITH Conclave 2025 poised to shape Tourism@2047 path; event to bring top leaders, officials together

The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) has announced its most significant policy dialogue since the onset of the pandemic—the FAITH Conclave 2025—scheduled to be held on August 12 to 13, 2025 at The Taj Palace, New Delhi. Under the theme “Indian Tourism: Invincible Spirit”, this landmark event will bring together top leaders from both government and industry to collaboratively drive the shared goal of establishing India as a global tourism powerhouse by 2047.
The Conclave is chaired by Padma Shri awardee Ajeet Bajaj (FAITH Vice Chair) and co-chaired by FAITH General Secretary, Rajiv Mehra, drawing participation from the full spectrum of India’s travel and hospitality ecosystem. Puneet Chhatwal, MD & CEO of Indian Hotels Company Ltd., currently serves as the Chair of the FAITH Board.
“This conclave represents a national movement. We are laying the foundation for a USD 3 trillion tourism economy with 100 million foreign arrivals and 20 billion domestic visits. FAITH 2025 will be the tipping point in our collective journey to Viksit Bharat through tourism,” said Ajay Prakash, Vice Chair, FAITH.
“We are bringing the government, states and industry together under one platform to create a powerful, unified tourism vision for India,” added Rajiv Mehra, Co-Chair, FAITH Conclave.
A Vision for 2047: USD 3 Trillion, 200 Million Tourism Jobs
FAITH Conclave 2025 is poised to be a cornerstone in shaping the path to Tourism@2047—a bold, inclusive and achievable roadmap for India to become a top 5 global tourism economy. Discussions at the event will focus on Milestones for achieving India’s USD 3 trillion tourism vision; Creating a pan-India tourism growth narrative; Deepening Centre-State-Industry alignment; Urgent steps to increase Inbound Tourism to India; Making tourism a concurrent subject in the Constitution; Securing export industry status for tourism and Reforming GST across the tourism value chain.
Additionally, the conclave will place a spotlight on tourism reforms where the key areas of discussion include developing a country-specific inbound strategy, boosting rural, wellness and spiritual tourism circuits, creating destination-specific marketing and infrastructure plans, among others.
Confirmed dignitaries include Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Tourism, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister for DONER, Rohan Khaunte, Tourism Minister of Goa, senior functionaries from the Ministry of Tourism. Industry leaders including Amitabh Kant (Former G20 Sherpa), Puneet Chhatwal, MD & CEO of Indian Hotels Company Ltd., Rajesh Magow (Group CEO, MakeMyTrip), Pieter Elbers (CEO, IndiGo), Dipak Deva (MD, TCI), Anil Chadha (MD, ITC Hotels), K B Kachru (Chairman Emeritus, Radisson Hotels), Homa Mistry (CEO, Trail Blazer Tours), will be attending.
Notably, FAITH’s structure ensures that every member association—ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI, TAFI, has equal representation and voice on the Board, along with cause partner AIRDA which fosters transparent dialogue and collective action.
