HomeStays of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Jashpur District Administration, Government of Chhattisgarh on January 25, 2026, marking a significant step towards positioning Jashpur as a responsible and sustainable tourism destination in the state.

The agreement was formalised by Rohit Vyas, District Collector, Jashpur, and Vinod Verma, CEO, Homestays of India, in the presence of the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai and state dignitaries. Under this collaboration, Homestays of India has adopted Village Kere in Jashpur and will work closely with the district administration to create a collaborative framework.

The partnership aims to establish Kere as the first organised homestay village of Jashpur, anchoring a structured and scalable homestay-led rural tourism ecosystem. The initiative is expected to actively engage local households, strengthen sustainable livelihoods, and encourage entrepreneurship among youth and women through targeted capacity building and skill development.

Vinod Verma, CEO, HomeStays of India said “We are deeply grateful to the Jashpur District Administration for trusting this model and taking a progressive step towards sustainable tourism. On behalf of our entire team, I reaffirm our commitment to work together to make Kere a benchmark village for responsible tourism in India - one that others will come to learn from”
