IHG appoints Jaideep Dang as Head of Development, South West Asia

Dang brings with him over 22 years of deep and diverse experience in the hospitality and real estate sectors. He joins IHG from JLL India, where, as Managing Director – Hotels & Hospitality Group, he led the advisory and transactions business for India and South Asia.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Jaideep Dang as Head of Development, Southwest Asia. Dang will be responsible for driving IHG growth strategy across the region and will report directly to Sudeep Jain, MD, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts.
Dang brings with him over 22 years of deep and diverse experience in the hospitality and real estate sectors, with a proven track record of delivering results across geographies. He joins IHG from JLL India, where, as Managing Director – Hotels & Hospitality Group, he led the advisory and transactions business for India and South Asia. Under his leadership, the business established a market leading position in hotel investment sales, and built a strong, high-performing team recognised for delivering outstanding advisory on hotel project feasibilities, valuations, management contracts, and development strategies. Prior to JLL, Dang spent eight years with The Oberoi Group as Senior Vice President, Strategic Development.

Dang graduated in Architecture from New Delhi and holds leadership certifications from MIT Sloan School of Management and IIM Bangalore. He is also an active member of the National Committee on Tourism with CII and a regular speaker at leading industry forums.
The hotel & resorts chain IHG currently has 51 hotels operating across six brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express, and a strong pipeline of 72 hotels due to open in the next 3-5 years. Earlier this year, the company celebrated the milestone opening of its 50th hotel in the country and continues to strengthen its presence with a robust and growing pipeline of 70+ hotels across luxury, premium and mainstream segments in high-potential cities.
