LOT Polish Airlines to fly to the Mediterranean ‘Island of Gods’

The seasonal service from the airline’s global hub at Warsaw Chopin Airport will take off on May 30, 2026, and will be offered three times a week.

LOT Polish Airlines, a member of Star Alliance, announces further expansion of its route network in the Mediterranean region and will launch new flights to the Greek island of Crete in summer 2026.

For LOT Polish Airlines, Heraklion and Crete will become the third destination being served in Greece. The airline currently flies daily and year-round to Athens and, since summer 2025, to Thessaloniki.

“We are pursuing a sustainable growth strategy and are expanding our route network in a targeted manner,” says Amit Ray, Director India, DACH Markets, Italy and Malta and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines. “Heraklion/Crete is thus not only a new and attractive travel option for our guests from India. It is also the latest in a series of new air services we have announced in recent weeks: In 2026, we will also add routes to Almaty, Bologna, Malaga, Porto and San Francisco.”

From India, LOT Polish Airlines flies daily to Warsaw, with nonstop services on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from Delhi and on Sundays and Wednesdays from Mumbai.
