MMRC & Cityflo join hands to launch feeder bus services for Mumbai Metro Line 3
MMRC and Cityflo launch feeder buses to bridge last mile gap for Metro Line 3
Services will be launched at high-demand stations including Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Worli, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)
The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) and Cityflo announced a partnership to introduce dedicated feeder bus services for Mumbai Metro Line 3, with its 3rd phase launched on Oct 8. The collaboration is expected to play a critical role in driving higher metro adoption across the city.
The MMRC - Cityflo partnership is designed to directly address this friction point. Services will be launched at high-demand stations including Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Worli, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), with buses running every 10 minutes during peak hours to ensure minimal waiting time. The initiative will feature integrated ticketing through both the Cityflo app, and the Metro Connect 3 app. Introductory fares are expected to be set at INR 29 per single ride, with a monthly pass option at INR 499 to encourage daily use and build habitual adoption.
Commenting on the partnership, R. Ramana, Director (Planning & Real Estate Development / NFBR), MMRC, said: “With Metro Line 3, Mumbai is entering a transformative phase in its mobility journey. However, the true success of the metro system will depend on how easily people can access it from their homes to workplaces and back. Through our feeder networks, we are solving this, by ensuring that commuters benefit from a reliable and convenient extension of their metro journey.”
Jerin Venad, CEO, Cityflo added: "We’re excited to partner with MMRC to bring feeder buses to the metro network. This is a natural extension of our mission to make urban commutes frictionless, whether through our direct bus network or by integrating with public transit systems to provide a seamless experience for everyone. Our goal has always been to facilitate a shift from private cars to mass transit, and we’re confident this service will become a catalyst for millions of commuters to embrace a more sustainable way to commute."
