Initiative
We conduct regular bi-monthly meetings. The last one was held on 10th May 2023 our 4th bi-monthly meeting. We regularly keep in touch with industry partners and have been inviting them to our meetings. In this regard, we were able to arrange a meeting of the following industry partners and they gave their presentation of their products and the same enabled the Members to update and enhance their information about various products.
Challenges
Challenges before us are GST and increased TCS from 5% to 20% on outbound tour packages. Our members find it very difficult to convince their clients. We have already put to a lot of hardships in working with 0% commission in issuing airline tickets. I think ours is the only trade where we work without any remuneration from our principles (airlines).
On the other hand, our members have to suffer a lot of hardships due to the sudden downfall of a few airlines where we had made some deposits. Our Association head is strenuously working in these areas for the benefit of the members.
