Patel inaugurates Water Conservation system at Taj Mahal

Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Minister of State for Culture & Tourism (IC), inaugurated a Water Conservation system and Babycare & Feeding Room yesterday at the premises of Taj Mahal in Agra.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the people of the country to join hands for water conservation and create a Jan-andolan along the lines of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Accordingly, Patel inaugurated the Water Conservation System which in its first turn put about 10000 litre of polluted water coming out of RO System into the old well located in the premises of the heritage site. He also inaugurated Babycare and Feeding room in Taj Mahal for the convenience of female tourists.

During the programme, the Minister also paid visit to the existing museum located inside the Taj Complex and explored the galleries preserving elements of precious artefacts, paintings and other works; along with Member of Parliament, Agra, S P Singh Baghel and Fatehpur Sikri, Raj Kumar Chahar and  ASI officials. Speaking on the occasion, he urged all the officials and citizens alike to take a vow for keeping our iconic heritage sites clean and making it accessible for all visitors.
