Rashmi Verma appointed Secretary, Ministry of Tourism

Rashmi Verma, an IAS officer of 1982 cadre (Bihar), has been appointed as the new Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. In her last role, Verma was the secretary, Ministry of Textiles Government of India.
Post Graduate in Political Science with an MBA degree from University Hull, Verma is expected to be a positive sign for the tourism industry.
Verma will replace NK Sinha who was given additional charge as Secretary Tourism since the superannuation of Vinod Zutshi in February.
