Star Air announces fleet expansion and new routes

The airline plans to add 15 new sectors, 4 more aircraft by March 2026, and a 25-aircraft fleet by March 2027.

Star Air announced the induction of its 10th aircraft, an Embraer E175 jet, into its growing fleet. Starting May 15th, Star Air will add 15 new sectors to its schedule, expanding its operations to 50+ daily services across 24 destinations.

The airline plans to add four more Embraer E175 Aircraft to its fleet by March 2026 and operate a fleet of 25 aircraft by March 2027, aiming to connect over 50 destinations across India within the next two years.

The airline has completed six years of operations on all the routes under the UDAN scheme. It has carried nearly 1.5 million passengers with a schedule of 300 weekly and is planning to expand to 350 weekly flights during summer under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) initiative. It is also planning to venture into a more commercial city.

Its fleet, comprising Embraer E175 and E145 aircraft, features 2x2 seating layout, with two-class cabin configuration with business class and economy seating.
