MakeMyTrip has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sun Hospitality & Entertainment Group (S.H.E). Through this association, Sun Group aims to showcase its destinations to Indian travellers and further strengthen Vietnam’s position as a high-quality, experiential destination of choice.
India is emerging as a key driver of inbound tourism to Vietnam; arrivals grew from 169,000 in 2019 to 392,000 in 2023, a 231% increase. The momentum continued with 501,000 visitors in 2024 and 337,000 arrivals in the first half of 2025. Sun World destinations have mirrored this growth, welcoming nearly 300,000 Indian visitors in the first half of 2025, a 101% increase over the same period in 2024.
Speaking about the partnership, Tran Nguyen, Deputy General Director of Sun Hospitality & Entertainment Group, said, “India is now among Vietnam’s fastest-growing source markets, with arrivals more than tripling since 2019. Through our association with MakeMyTrip, we aim to showcase Sun Group’s world-class destinations to Indian travellers and further strengthen Vietnam’s position as a high-quality, experiential destination of choice.”
