Minister Bartlett projects that a full recovery of the tourism sector will take time but maintains that Jamaica will be open for the winter tourist season, starting December 15, 2025.

Bartlett activated Recovery Task Force and Tourism Resilience Coordination Committee. Minister noted that both task forces will coordinate closely with the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre to integrate lessons from previous recovery efforts, including Jamaica’s record-breaking post-COVID-19 recovery.

Expected to generate approximately US$5 billion in tourism earnings.
