Initiatives
The key initiative taken by the Karnataka Chapter in recent times is to interact with the airline personnel. We hosted a dinner for the key airline people and interacted with them to understand each other’s problems. We had a workshop in VFS Global to understand the process of visas. We had a familiarization visit to the newly constructed Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport.
Challenges
One important challenge faced by the TAAI Karnataka chapter is to increase its membership. We have started the initiative of each member bringing one new member to the chapter. The burning issues before our members are the TCS, GST, coordination with VFS, and airlines. We already had a workshop with the VFS and interaction with the airline personnel. Regarding the TCS and GST, we are planning to have a workshop with the experts in the trade.
