Tourism and Culture Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Jaiveer Singh, shared “Amethi holds a special place in the state’s Sufi heritage and history. Many landmarks in the region are associated with revered Sufi saints and their teachings. In line with this, the tourism department has approved a series of projects for the fiscal year 2024-25 to revitalise and promote these significant sites.”

Similarly, the tourism development of Baba Doolabh Das’s location in Gram Dharm, Tiloi block, will be undertaken with an investment of INR 94.03 lakh.

A highlight of the initiative is the construction of a memorial dedicated to Sufi poet and 'Padmavat' creator Malik Muhammad Jaisi, with an allocation of over INR 10.86 crore. The memorial is expected to become a cultural and tourist attraction in the region.
