Uttarakhand Commends Women of the State on Women’s Day

This year the International Women’s day was celebrated the theme of #ChoosetoChallenge. When it comes to challenges, women of India are always ready to fight and come out with flying colors

Satpal Maharaaz, Tourism Minister, Uttarakhand, says “Women empowerment has always been the agenda of our government. Women of our state are succeeding in all the sectors and I would like to salute the women power of Uttarakhand. We will regularly work to encourage more and more women to come out with the initiatives that will add on to their growth and will further amp up the developement of the state”

Dilip Jawalkar, Secretary - Tourism, Uttarakhand, says “Uttarakhand government is continuously working and coming up with the schemes that are allowing women in the state to be financially independent. Our schemes like the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Homestay and Trekking Traction Centre Homestay Grant scheme are imperial in providing and building up of clean and affordable homestays for the tourists”

Uttarakhand boasts of varied range of cuisines, handicrafts, homestays and other segments which are run and managed by some inspiration women. These women are the pride of Uttarakhand and are continuously working hard to encourage our local culture and traditions.
