Vietjet begins construction of Aircraft Maintenance Hub
Vietjet breaking ground for Aircraft Maintenance Hub
The project is said to be one of 80 landmark initiatives inaugurated to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day.
Vietjet is making strategic investments, accelerating its expansion across key international markets — with India as a major focus. The airline has officially broken ground on its state-of-the-art Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Centre at Long Thanh International Airport, which aims to become Vietnam’s most advanced and largest airport upon completion. The project is said to be one of 80 landmark initiatives inaugurated to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).
With a total investment of nearly USD 100 million, the project is said to include the development of Hangars 3 and 4 at the under-construction airport. The new centre will feature synchronised, international-standard infrastructure and will be capable of servicing up to 10 aircraft simultaneously. In addition to meeting the maintenance needs of Vietjet’s expanding fleet, the facility is said to be also designed to serve both domestic and international airlines—enhancing Vietnam’s aviation capabilities and supporting future operations at Long Thanh.
