Wonderla makes its Tamil Nadu debut with its first amusement park
The park will be open to the public starting December 2, 2025.
Wonderla Holidays Limited celebrated the formal inauguration of Wonderla Chennai, its first park in Tamil Nadu and fifth in the country. The park was inaugurated by M.K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, in the presence of Dr. T.R.B Rajaa, Minister for Industries, Government of Tamil Nadu; T. M. Anbarasan, Minister for MSME, Government of Tamil Nadu, other senior government officials, and other distinguished dignitaries. The park will be open to the public starting December 2, 2025.
The ceremony was attended by Arun K. Chittilappilly, Executive Chairman & Managing Director; Dheeran Choudhary, Chief Operating Officer; Vyshakh Ravindran, Park Head – Chennai; members of the Board of Directors; and the senior leadership team of Wonderla Holidays Ltd.
Wonderla Chennai's opening said to represent the culmination of a decade-long commitment that initially began with an MoU signed with the Government of Tamil Nadu on September 10, 2015. Wonderla Chennai, an investment of around Rs. 611 crores, reported to mark a significant milestone in the tourism and entertainment landscape of Tamil Nadu while generating 1000 new jobs. The park features 43 world-class rides across high thrill, family, kids, and water categories, built to entertain up to 6,500 visitors daily.
Speaking at the inauguration, Arun K.
