AIR ARABIA AND SHARJAH TOURISM ORGANIZED ROADSHOWS IN INDIA

Air Arabia recently organized a road show in New Delhi and Mumbai in association with Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. The roadshow proved to be an excellent opportunity to explore the diverse aspects of Air Arabia as well as Sharjah’s tourism offerings.

Air Arabia and Sharjah National Tourism Authority hosted the road shows in Delhi and Mumbai 9th and 10th of December 2015, respectively, to foster and develop a closer working relationship with key members of the travel industry. The purpose of the road show was to promote the airline and the destination's tourism offerings.

Sachin Nene, Regional Manager - India, Air Arabia and H.E. Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority were present for the road show. The show was based on a thorough presentation of Air Arabia and Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority.

Sharjah received more than 123,010 visitors from India last year, registering an enormous 41 per cent growth over the previous year. These numbers are expected to grow steeply in months and years ahead. Sharjah has always enjoyed a special place in Indian hearts due to its cultural heritage and endless shopping.

"Sharjah is known to Indians as the cricket capital and we are creating awareness about the destination and its offerings as a vibrantly cultural, colourful and eventful destination for the Indian tourists, through road shows and by meeting travel trade in the country," said Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah National Tourism Authority.

Air Arabia started operations in India in 2005 and now flies to 13 cities in India.
