ATOUT FRANCE GETS IT'S FIRST INDIAN DIRECTOR

At the inaugural French Ambassador Awards hosted in Mumbai, the Atout France team and travel fraternity bid adieu to Catherine Oden who had been at the helm of the French Tourism Board for over five years as it’s Director for India. Stepping into her shoes is Sheetal Wadhwa Munshaw who has been running her own company Avant Garde, and long been a representative for France;’s Chamonix Mont Blanc region.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event after the announcement, Munshaw said, “I am honoured that they have vested their trust in me. It’s the first time that they have taken an Indian into this role and it’s a big responsibility. We are in a good place, our visas are moving at a good pace, we have an excellent Ambassador. Things can only get better. I owe my reaching here to Catherine. She has left us in a good place, and we need only take it forward from there.”
Avant Garde, she added, has been taken over by her family, while her account with Chamonix Mont Blanc, which was given to her on a personal note, has been dissolved. “I will, however, continue to represent it as part of France, of course,” she added.
Oden will move on to head the China market for Atout France in the first week of August.
