Bintan Resorts strengthens focus on Indian MICE market

Bintan is developing a five-hectare convention centre at Lagoi Bay, set to open in 2027.

Bintan Resorts is strengthening its focus on the Indian MICE market. It is presenting itself as a business events destination in Southeast Asia offering a range of meeting facilities and leisure options that extend beyond the boardroom.

Adding to its growing infrastructure, Bintan is developing a five-hectare convention centre at Lagoi Bay, set to open in 2027. Designed to host up to 10,000 plus delegates, the centre will be one of the largest convention venues in the region and will further strengthen Bintan’s profile as a business events hub.

“Indian corporates today are looking for destinations that balance connectivity, infrastructure while also offering opportunities for delegates to engage outside formal sessions,” said Abdul Wahab, Chief Operating Officer, Bintan Resorts. “Bintan delivers this with resort-based venues, a new convention centre on the way and incentive experiences such as golf on signature courses, wellness programmes and outdoor team building, making it an attractive option for meetings and events.”
