Fisherman Tours & Travel Pvt Ltd has appointed SSR Reps, the representation vertical of SSR Travel Solutions, as its official representative in India. The partnership marks a strategic step toward strengthening Fisherman Tours’ presence in the rapidly growing Indian outbound travel market.
Through this collaboration, SSR Reps will represent Fisherman Tours across India, working closely with travel trade partners to promote Zanzibar and Tanzania as unique and compelling travel destinations. The partnership will focus on building destination awareness, developing strong relationships with Indian tour operators, and expanding outreach particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where demand for emerging international destinations is steadily increasing.

Speaking on the partnership, Arif Issa Al Mazrui, General Manager of Fisherman Tours & Travel Pvt Ltd, said, “India is a priority growth market for us. Indian travellers value family, culture, meaningful experiences, and value for money — qualities that Zanzibar and Tanzania naturally offer. At Fisherman Tours, we design journeys that resonate deeply with Indian guests, whether for leisure, weddings, incentives, or heritage-based travel. We look forward to building strong partnerships with Indian tour operators and welcoming more Indian families to Zanzibar.”

Commenting on the appointment, Sapneal Rao, Co-Founder & CEO of SSR Travel Solutions, added, “We are delighted to represent Fisherman Tours & Travel Pvt Ltd in the Indian market. Zanzibar and Tanzania offer a unique combination of pristine beaches, rich culture, wildlife, and authentic experiences that strongly resonate with Indian travellers. Through SSR Reps, we aim to create deeper awareness of these incredible destinations and work closely with travel partners across India, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, to grow demand and unlock new opportunities for the travel trade.”
SSR Reps said to play a key role in enhancing destination awareness, conducting trade engagements, and introducing Indian travel partners to the diverse experiences available in Zanzibar and Tanzania.
With growing interest from emerging markets including Asia and the Middle East, the appointment of SSR Reps in India is expected to further position Zanzibar and Tanzania as attractive destinations for Indian leisure travellers, destination weddings, incentives, and experiential travel.
