IAAI MAHARASHTRA COMMITTEE HOLDS GENERAL BODY MEETING

The IATA Agents Association of India (IAAI), Maharashtra State Committee recently held its General Body Meeting in Mumbai. In his opening remarks, Chetan Momaya, President, IAAI, Maharastra State said, “The motto of our association is By the Agents and For the Agents. We stand together to uphold unity, and fight for the just cause of our members so that our livelihood is protected.”
The General Body Meeting was followed by a travel agent engagement programme jointly conducted by IAAI and ETAA. Referring to the synergetic association with ETAA, Momaya added, “We want to send out a strong message to the industry despite all the challenges it is the small agents – be they IATA or Non-IATA - who carry the travel industry on their shoulders. It is on them that the airlines, consolidators, passengers and tourists depend. Hence, on the welfare of the small agents, depends the welfare of the industry.”
