IATO's 40th Convention in Puri to put a spotlight on rejuvenating India’s inbound by 2030

The convention will take place from August 22 to 25 at Swosti Premium Beach Resorts. Sanjay Razdan - Vice President will be the Chairman of the Convention along with Viney Tyagi, Hony. Joint Secretary and Gagan Sarangi - Chairman, IATO Odisha Chapter as the Co-Chairmen.
IATO is all set to organised its 40th IATO Annual Convention from August 22 to 25, 2025, in Puri, Odisha, the holy city of Lord Jagannath.
The theme of the convention is “Rejuvenate Inbound @2030”, informed Ravi Gosain, President, Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO).

Swosti Premium Beach Resorts is the venue hotel and all the activities on all the three days i.e. registration for the convention, inaugural function, business sessions and evening programmes will be held at Swosti Premium Beach Resorts. Gosain also apprised that Chief Minister of Odisha, Union Minister of Tourism, Govt. of India have been invited to inaugurate the convention on August 22, 2025. Senior officials Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and many state tourism departments will participate, and about 17-18 states are expected to participate in the convention.
The convention's aim is to highlight the importance of Tourism to Centre and state Govts and advise them to give it top priority, said Rajnish Kaistha, Sr. Vice President, IATO. "Center and state Govts must work in tandem and go hand holding of our beleaguered inbound tourism industry," he added.
Sanjay Razdan, Chairman of the convention, said that there's an overwhelming response from the members and other stakeholders and about 900-1000 delegates are expected to attend from all over the country to participate which will include senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the States, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals, travel trade media. There are 8 post-convention tours being organised on various sectors to showcase the offerings of Odisha amongst the tourism stakeholders who will later promote these destinations in overseas and domestic markets, added Razdan.
During the 3 days convention, there will be deliberations on burning issues and the session are being finalised where we will have experts in all fields, added Sunil Mishra.
Besides the serious discussions during the business sessions, we will have IATO Run for Responsible Tourism on August 24, 2025, and awards would be given in various categories to the winners and runners up. Also, we will have evening entertainment programme on all three days and delegates will enjoy taking time off from their busy schedule. A Karaoke Singing Competition will be organised on August 23 evening.
During the convention, IATO is also organising Indian Tourism Fair (Travel Mart) on August 22nd to 24th, 2025 at the convention venue, which will give an opportunity for our members to interact with the state tourism department and other stakeholders who are exhibiting to interact with each other and promote tourism.
