The Israel Ministry of Tourism has appointed Galit Hoffman as the Consul-Tourism Affairs for India, reaffirming its strategic commitment to deepening tourism ties with the Indian market.
She previously served at the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi as Spokesperson and later as Deputy Defence Attaché, where she helped foster cooperation between Israel and India. In the private sector, she led sales and product marketing for the Indian market at Mobileye.
In her current position, Galit will lead Israel’s tourism promotion strategy in India, working closely with travel trade professionals, airlines, media partners, and digital platforms to raise awareness of Israel as a diverse and enriching destination.
“India has been part of my journey for many years,” said Galit. “I feel fortunate to return once again and to continue strengthening the special relationship between our two countries. In this new role, I’m looking forward to helping more people from India discover Israel – a destination that blends history and innovation, nature and spirit, culture, great cuisine, and lots of fun- a mix you won’t find anywhere else.”

Her work across both the public and private sectors, along with her understanding of India’s diverse travel ecosystem, will be invaluable in strengthening Israel’s positioning in the market.”
