ISRAEL WITNESSES 44% INCREASE IN INDIAN ARRIVALS

Israel has witnessed a phenomenal growth of 44 per cent of Indian tourist arrivals in the month of October 2015 as compared to October 2014. Israel is rapidly gaining popularity in India as an emerging tourist destination. Indians are currently eager to explore new destinations and diverse offerings. Israel offers perfect holiday to enjoy snow-capped mountains, desert regions, water sports and historic sites all together in one holiday. Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) aspires to expand the diverse products offering of the destination and is targeting Indians to include a vacation to Israel in their bucket list.
Hassan Madah, Director, Israel Ministry of Tourism, India said, “Indians are excited to explore Israel and its various options of tourism. Israel is a blend of history, tradition and modern cosmopolitan experience. The destination offers tourism aspects for all kind of age groups and this is evident from the latest increase in Indian arrivals. We are working on further enhancing the destination visibility through traditional as well as online media and also looking at India as a significant emerging market for the destination.”
Israel is one of the top destinations of the world and has visitors from across the globe. Not only India, but the tourist arrivals from countries like China (116 per cent), Portugal (97 per cent), Germany (64 per cent) and many other countries also have seen a significant increase in October 2015. United States have seen a four per cent growth while Africa has seen two per cent growth from January to October 2015 as compared to January to October 2014. Total percentage of tourist arrivals to Israel has increased by five per cent in October 2015 as compared to the same period in 2014.
