At the same time, Jamaica is said to be preparing for further expansion with the development of 1,200-room Moon Palace, The Grand.
Jamaica welcomed 286,548 stopover visitors in July 2025, marking its strongest July ever. This represents a 16.5% increase compared to July 2024 and a 4.8% rise over July 2023. Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett, said, “These exceptional numbers reflect Jamaica’s position as the Caribbean’s most sought-after destination. The growth showcases the strength of our destination assurance programme and the effectiveness of our marketing strategies.”
Director of Tourism, Donovan White, added, “This growth represents not just numbers, but families choosing Jamaica for their vacations, business travellers discovering our facilities, and repeat visitors returning for our hospitality and natural beauty.”
At the same time, Jamaica is said to be preparing for further expansion with the development of Moon Palace, The Grand. This $700 million, 1,200-room luxury resort is set to open in Success, St. James, and promises to be a major economic driver.
The resort reports to feature overwater bungalows, more than 13 specialty restaurants, a waterpark, and Jamaica’s largest spa. Minister Bartlett highlighted that the project aligns with the government’s vision for inclusive tourism, ensuring surrounding communities benefit from growth.
