LUFTHANSA INTRODUCES PREMIUM ECONOMY ON DELHI – FRANKFURT ROUTE

Lufthansa recently introduced Premium Economy Class on its Delhi-Frankfurt route. Termed as the most important part of the biggest product upgrade in Lufthansa’s history, the Premium Economy Class comes with great on-board as well as on-ground benefits including 50% extra legroom space as compared to the Economy Class.
Said, Wolfgang Will, Director, South Asia, Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, “We are very pleased to announce the introduction of Premium Economy Class on the Delhi-Frankfurt route onboard the A380. Delhi is the second destination in India to have this offering and we expect it to be available on all long haul routes in India in 2015. The roll-out of the new travel class in Delhi, after Bangalore, clearly demonstrates the importance of the Indian market for Lufthansa and underlines our commitment to provide our customers with consistent and the best Lufthansa experience worldwide. The Premium Economy offering will be ideal for leisure travelers with higher budget and for business travelers with constrained budgets.”
The Premium Economy seat pitch is 38 inches and provides more legroom space as compared to Economy. Passengers traveling Premium Economy class will also have special benefits on board such as being greeted with a welcome drink and at their seat in the cabin will be an upmarket amenity kit with useful accessories, a water bottle and a power socket. Meals will be presented in menus and served on china tableware. In addition, an extensive inflight entertainment program for passengers to view on a large monitor fitted on the backrest of the seat in front.
