Malaysia bags three awards

Travel + Leisure India & South Asia conducted the World’s Best Awards in Mumbai recently, at which Tourism Malaysia bagged The Best Green Destination (World) 2012 award, Langkawi picked up the Best Honeymoon Destination award and KLIA was awarded the second Runner Up for Best Airport. The award was accepted by Azizah Aziz, Head of Corporate Planning & Development, Tourism Malaysia; Manoharan Periasamy, Director, Tourism Malaysia and Hj Aznan B. Othman, Senior Mananger –Operation, Malaysia Airport respectively.
Dato Mirza Mohammad Taiyab, Director General, Tourism Malaysia said,” Tourism Malaysia is honoured to have been conferred this esteemed recognition, which will further motivate us to intensify our efforts in positioning Malaysia as the world’s leading eco-tourism destination, while sustaining and preserving its natural environment."
