MIAL CEO CONFERRED WITH ‘DISTINGUISHED FELLOWSHIP’ BY IOD

The Institute of Directors (IOD), a not-for-profit apex national association of Corporate Directors in India, has honoured Rajeev Jain, CEO of Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd. as the ‘Distinguished Fellow of IOD’ for the year 2016, in the presence of a distinguished gathering of business leaders and policy makers at the ‘Golden Peacock Awards Nite’ during IOD’s 10th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility, which was held on February 5 - 6, 2016 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
Each year the Executive Council of the IOD nominates pre-eminent people for conferring the ‘Distinguished Fellowship’ award in recognition of their outstanding contribution to public service and society. The first ‘Distinguished Fellowship’ was conferred on Bharat Ratna, late Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in 1994. Other distinguished recipients of the honour include Justice (Dr) Arijit Pasayat, former Chairman, Competition Appellate Tribunal and Judge, Supreme Court of India; Rt. Hon. Baroness Verma, Minister in Govt. of UK; Amitabh Kant, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GOI; Ravi Parthasarathy, Chairman, IL&FS; Gopichand P. Hinduja, Co-Chairman, Hinduja Group of Companies; H. E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA); Atul Chaturvedi IAS Chairman, Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB); Ashok Chawla IAS, Chairman, Competition Commission of India, and others.
Earlier this year, Jain was declared as the ‘CA Business Leader - Corporate’ for 2015 from a pool of nominations that included Presidents, Chairmen, Managing Directors, Directors, CEOs, COOs and other high-ranking executives from several different industries. He is also the recipient of the ‘Best CEO with HR Orientation Award’ at the Asia’s Best Employer Brand awards for 2015.
