NYC & CO. HIGHLIGHTS HARLEM IN NEIGHBOURHOOD CAMPAIGN

NYC & Company has announced Harlem as the first spotlight of the New Year in its Neighborhood x Neighborhood programme. Harlem, an ever-evolving neighborhood home of world-renowned restaurants, historic cultural institutions and unparalleled music venues and theaters, is being showcased as a must-see for first-time or repeat visitors.

As the latest focus of Neighborhood x Neighborhood, NYC & Company will promote Harlem, a globally recognised mecca for African-American culture, as New York City prepares for Black History Month celebrations in February.

"We are pleased to continue Neighborhood x Neighborhood in 2015 and share insider guides to NYC’s neighborhoods. For nearly two years, the campaign has helped increase awareness and encourages exploration of dozens of neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs. Visitors want to experience the city like locals, and they now think beyond the typical attractions and sites when they plan their visits to New York City," said Fred Dixon, president and CEO of NYC & Company.

“Harlem is bursting with culture, history and amazing cuisine. We encourage visitors and New Yorkers to experience the unparalleled liveliness and excitement of Harlem not only this month, but again for Black History Month, and throughout the rest of the year. Whether it is their first or tenth time in the neighborhood, visitors can find something new and vibrant with each trip,” said Marty Markowitz, Vice President of Borough Promotion and Engagement, NYC & Company’s.
