OYO now 1st Indian hospitality company to deploy Google's Veo 3 technology, launches pilot in Europe

Data shows that the Veo 3 generated video on YouTube achieved a 130% higher view rate than the latest traditional advertisement in Germany, while in Denmark it recorded an impressive 80% growth. 

OYO has announced that it has become the first hospitality company in India to leverage Google’s Veo 3, its latest generative AI video technology, for producing dynamic, hyperlocal video and multimedia advertising campaigns. 

OYO has successfully launched a pilot project in Europe with a campaign called “Time Out”, designed to encourage guests to plan their summer vacations across Denmark, Norway and Sweden through its premium vacation homes brand DanCenter. Veo 3 has helped create advertisements where every smile, gesture, and movement carried the warmth of a genuine encounter, making the storytelling relatable and rooted in local culture. 

The advertisements significantly improved campaign performance on social media platforms. Data shows that the Veo 3 generated video on YouTube achieved a 130% higher view rate than the latest traditional advertisement in Germany, while in Denmark it recorded an impressive 80% growth. 

Additionally, viewer engagement also recorded an impressive growth. The AI-generated advertisement recorded 187% more full plays than the latest traditional campaign in Germany, underscoring its ability to hold attention and connect with audiences far more effectively.

Unlike earlier campaigns that demanded extensive crews, equipment, locations, and weeks of production, OYO is now leveraging Veo 3’s advanced capabilities to unlock limitless creative possibilities while eliminating traditional production hurdles. 

Speaking on the development, Shashank Jain, Group Head, Technology and Marketing, OYO said "Veo 3 is set to become OYO’s virtual production studio for its authenticity which is critical to our business. From sunlit balconies in Copenhagen to bustling city streets in Mumbai, everything could be rendered with realism. We are planning to use Veo 3 for generating localised advertisement variants in Hindi, English, Danish, Bahasa, German, and many other languages across the globe where the brand is spreading its footprint". 

OYO is working on a similar project for Motel6 in the USA. The move is also expected to reduce the production cost and time by upto 70% and 60% compared to the traditional methods.
