PHILIPPINES LAUNCHES 'VISIT THE PHILIPPINES AGAIN' CAMPAIGN 2016

The Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of Philippines  have launched Visit the Philippines Again (VPA) 2016. The new campaign is the continuation of the successful Visit the Philippines Year (VPY) 2015.

VPA 2016 is a retail based campaign to drive urgency and excitement among foreign travelers to visit the Philippines and return in 2016 for more fun, friendship, feel-good adventures, and fabulous memories to cherish.  “Tourists will once again behold the beauty of the Philippines and experience a year of even bigger and more thrilling events and attractions with the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board’s (TPB) campaign. The Indian market has continued to be one of the important contributors of international visitors to the Philippines. India has jumped up to the twelfth position for tourist arrivals in the Philippines till September this year, with over 22.40 per cent more Indians choosing the country as their preferred travel destination. The month of February in 2015 showed the impressive growth of arrivals of almost 40 percent,” said SanJeet, Tourism Attaché, Philippines Tourism Marketing Office, India.

Visit the Philippines Again (VPA) 2016 gains support from the country’s private sector as they offer perks and privileges to returning visitors. VPA 2016 will surely attract more foreigners to the Philippines and make them want to visit the country all over again.

DOT and TPB intend to remain aggressive and competitive in getting its share of the tourist market next year. They are confident that more foreign travelers will choose to visit the Philippines over any other destinations and more will be delighted to return to the country in 2016.
