The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), in collaboration with TBO Academy, hosted an exclusive destination presentation in Mumbai, bringing together 130+ leading travel agents for an immersive Saudi destination experience. The event aimed to reinforce Saudi’s growing focus on the Indian outbound market and strengthen engagement with Mumbai’s travel trade community.
The session spotlighted Saudi’s Golden Triangle: Riyadh, Jeddah, and AlUla, positioned as key destinations for Indian travelers. Riyadh was highlighted as a dynamic hub for business, entertainment, and large-scale events, while Jeddah stood out as a historic coastal gateway blending culture with seaside charm. AlUla captured attention as a cultural and heritage icon, home to UNESCO World Heritage Site Hegra and natural landmarks such as Elephant Rock.
Beyond the Golden Triangle, travel partners were introduced to Saudi’s emerging destinations, including Taif, Aseer, and Al-Baha, known for their pleasant climates, scenic landscapes, and cultural richness. The session also showcased Red Sea Global, the ultra-luxury destination development now open to travellers seeking distinctive and sustainable luxury experiences.
Air connectivity between India and Saudi continues to grow, supported by over 320 weekly flights. Mumbai-based agents were briefed on key airline partners including flynas, IndiGo, Saudia, Oman Air, Jazeera Airways, and Akasa Air, ensuring strong connectivity across multiple Indian gateways. Simplified visa options—including tourist visas, eVisas, Visa on Arrival, and stopover visas—were also highlighted, reinforcing Saudi’s ease of travel for Indian visitors.
Saudi’s year-round calendar of experiences, including Riyadh Season, MDLBEAST music festival, and AlUla’s cultural programming, further demonstrated the destination’s appeal across leisure, entertainment, and heritage segments.
During the session, TBO Academy presented its trade engagement platform, offering access to destination-focused learning modules, ready-to-sell itineraries, and exclusive incentive-led initiatives. Select giveaways were introduced as part of the engagement strategy, alongside performance-based reward programmes designed to recognise top-performing agents.
