SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS INTRODUCES SOCIAL CHECK-IN

South African Airways has introduced ‘Social Check-In’, an innovative method that allows guests to manage an online check-in through their Facebook profiles. In doing so, guests are able to share their own profile while also checking other traveller profiles and selecting seats based on matching interests.
Social Check-In requires guests to check in online and input their flight details. Guests are then provided the Social Check-in option by connecting to their Facebook profiles, while having complete control over the details they want to share and the one’s they don’t. Following this, the Social Seat Selector, allows the guests to view their fellow guests’ profiles and select seats next to a preferred co-passenger.
“South African Airways is known for its highly rated in-flight service including comfortable seating, award winning wines, gourmet cuisine and a wide range of entertainment. Social Check-In rounds off this experience by allowing passengers to enjoy their journey and experience, seated beside someone they are comfortable with while also giving them a chance to meet and socialize with like-minded people,” said Sajid Khan, Country Manager – India, South African Airways.
Social Check-In is available for guests travelling on all flights of South African Airways connecting Mumbai to Johannesburg. They can also make use of this feature when travelling on other domestic and international routes covered by the airline.
