Spain emerges as a hotspot for Indian travellers: BLS International

Indian tourists now seek experiences beyond traditional sightseeing—cruises offering luxury and gastronomy, and more.

According to BLS International, Spain has become a favoured destination for Indian tourists as their travels reflect a desire for deeper cultural connections, mirroring the growing diplomatic and cultural ties between the two nations.

“Spain has become a favoured destination for Indian tourists as their travels reflect a desire for deeper cultural connections, mirroring the growing diplomatic and cultural ties between the two nations. The mesmerising and historic nation of Spain, which is also a Schengen state, is dotted with destinations that instantly transport the discerning traveller to a dream-like world”, shared Shikhar Aggarwal, Joint Managing Director, BLS International.

He further mentioned, “Indian tourists now seek experiences beyond traditional sightseeing—cruises offering luxury and gastronomy, the chance to watch iconic football clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona live, and vibrant festivals like La Tomatina have all become major attractions. This evolving preference for immersive, curated travel experiences is reflected in the rising visa applications between 2022 and 2024, with a notable jump seen in early 2023 compared to the previous year”
