Sun Siyam marks 35 years with culture-led brand transformation

The evening in Delhi witnessed the Maldivian warmth and hospitality, as guests experienced firsthand the brand’s new positioning and ethos. Through engaging interactions, destination updates, and shared stories of transformation, Sun Siyam showcased its commitment to redefining island luxury while staying true to its roots.

Sun Siyam hosted an exclusive evening in New Delhi, India, on November 13 to mark a major milestone — the group’s 35th anniversary and the unveiling of its culture-led brand transformation. Bringing together India’s leading travel partners, media, and influencers, the event unveiled the brand’s new identity anchored in The Home of the Maldivian Spirit , marking a vibrant new chapter in Sun Siyam’s relationship with the Indian market.

Guests were given an exclusive first look at the group’s refreshed brand identity and portfolio structure, which unites five Maldivian resorts and its Sri Lankan retreat under a single identity The House of Siyam.

Guests can explore Maldivian Roots , capture unforgettable moments at The Insta Villa , or unwind at the Sun Siyam Beach Club , where relaxed days flow into vibrant nights. From the Wow Welcome to Hidden Treasure Chests , Plant-Based Bliss , and Moonlit Cinemas , every stay is designed to surprise, inspire, and create lasting memories.

Reflecting on this milestone, Deepak Booneady, Chief Executive Officer, added: “This rebrand is not just about design, it is about experience. It is about cultural authenticity, purpose-driven hospitality, and creating moments that spark joy. With the Maldives’ widest choice of villas, the region’s most generous premium all-inclusive plan, and now our Signature Experiences, we are setting the stage for the future of island travel.”

Guided by the vision of Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Founder, Owner and Managing Director, this milestone reflects the same pioneering spirit that inspired the creation of Sun Siyam more than three decades ago. His enduring belief in sharing the warmth of Maldivian culture with the world continues to shape the brand’s evolution — one that stays true to its roots while embracing the future of hospitality.
