Led by Deepika Nair, Acting Trade Manager, South African Tourism, the event will connect with Indian corporates across key sectors and will expand its focus beyond traditional metro markets. Speaking numbers, in 2024, India emerged as one of South Africa's fastest-growing source markets for MICE travel, contributing 20.2% of overall MICE arrivals.

An interim leadership structure will be put in place to maintain continuity until a new board is appointed. The minister emphasised that critical projects—including collaborations with the Tourism Business Council of South Africa and preparations for the upcoming G20 Summit—will proceed without disruption.
