TIGERAIR INTRODUCES ADDITIONAL FLIGHTS TO HYDERABAD AND TIRUCHIRAPPALLI

Tigerair, one of the leading Singapore-based budget carriers that connect six Indian destinations, has further strengthened its base in India with one seasonal additional frequency each to Hyderabad and Tiruchirappalli. From April 25 to June 15, 2016, the airline will increase flight frequency on its Hyderabad-Singapore route taking the total count to seven weekly flights, while the Tiruchirappalli-Singapore route will have a total of 14 weekly flights. This move is part of Tigerair’s growth strategy in the India market and its commitment to meet the increasing demand from travellers in India.
Commenting on the occasion, Teh Yik Chuan, Director – Sales and Marketing, Tigerair Singapore said, “Tigerair has always viewed India as an extremely significant part of our global network as we realise the potential and opportunities that the market has to offer. The increase in frequency on the Hyderabad-Singapore route and Tiruchirappalli-Singapore route is due to the overwhelming response from these markets during the peak season. The special fares will further benefit our travellers from India to visit Singapore bundled with convenience of travel.”

Bridget Goh, Area Director, India & Sri Lanka, Singapore Tourism Board said, “Last year, Singapore celebrated its Golden Jubilee and one of key collaboration was the partnership between Tigerair and STB for a successful marketing campaign targeted at Indian travellers from South India and Lucknow, its latest network city. As of November 2015, more than 924,000 Indian travellers have visited Singapore, registering 7.4 per cent growth. As a popular destination among Indian travellers, Singapore has a multitude of experiences for a fun-filled family holiday as well as vibrant lifestyle offerings for working millennials seeking a short getaway.
