Union Minister Kinjarapu approves Greenfield airports in Kota & Odisha

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is aiming to strengthen air connectivity across the nation.

Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Minister of Civil Aviation, has granted in-principle approval for the establishment of a Greenfield airport in Kota, Rajasthan and Puri in Odisha on May 5, 2025, strengthen air connectivity across the nation.

The proposed airport is expected to cater to the growing population and economic activity and enhance infrastructure development and connectivity across the Hadoti region.

The airport planned for Puri is expected to provide a boost to religious tourism, regional development, and overall connectivity in the region. This project also expects to enhance the direct connectivity between Puri and major metropolitan cities in India and strengthen last-mile air connectivity.
