UTTARAKHAND MINISTERS APPLAUDS STATE OFFICERS ON SUCCESSFUL YATRA 2014

On the successful completion of the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra 2014, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) organised a closing ceremony. Harish Rawat, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, presided over as the Chief Guest for the event. Dinesh Dhanai, Tourism Minister, Uttarakhand and Rawat appreciated the efforts of state officers for successfully conducting the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra 2014.

Speaking on the occasion, Rawat said, “I congratulate all the state officers for successfully completing the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra 2014. Our officers have shown a determinant performance. They were available 24X7 throughout the yatra ensuring safety at every level. It gives me immense pleasure to see the Yatra being completed successfully after the state faced havoc last year.”

“The Holy Yatra passes through difficult terrain and high altitudes of the Himalayan range. This makes it all the more challenging to take utmost care and safety. I feel proud that the State, despite limited resources at hand, organised such a pilgrim on a large scale and completed it successfully without any loss. I, hereby, congratulate all the Govt. Departments, District administrators and local people who were a part of this Holy Yatra”, said Dhanai.

Members of the royal family of Kansuva; Uday Krishna, Chief Post Master General; Ansuya Prasad Meikhuri, Deputy Speaker Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly; Rajendra Singh Bhandari, MLA Badrinath; Bhuvan Nautiyal, General Secretary Nanda Devi Raj Jat Sewa Samiti; Shailesh Bagoli, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board ACEO and other respected delegates were present on the occasion.
