Telangana is aiming to position itself as a benchmark for tourism innovation and quality in India, according to Jupally Krishna Rao, Minister for Tourism and Culture of Telangana. Addressing a recent public gathering, the minister said the state has the potential to emerge as a global tourism hub by leveraging its existing strengths rather than reinventing its identity.

The train will have 16 coaches, including 11 three-tier AC coaches, 4 two-tier AC coaches, and 1 first-class AC coach, with a total capacity of around 823 passengers.

The insights are drawn from STAAH’s network of partner properties and the booking data processed between January and December 2025. As per reports online, the facility has been set up by the District Tourism Department, Pithoragarh, in partnership with astro-tourism company Starscapes, as part of a broader initiative to diversify tourism offerings in the hill district.
